THE ID OF A STATIST

WAR IS PEACE
FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH
A funny thing happened to me the other day. Most people who know me are aware
that I never set out looking to cause trouble, confrontation or start a
conflict, but somehow I found myself in the middle of one, or should I say the
recipient of a blast of hatred and malice.
I did find out one fact. If you ever want to discover someone's true identity
and see his or her basic mental temperament, all you need to do is one thing,
just sit back and stick to your own uncompromising principles. Just be careful
with who you do this to or you might expose yourself to a raging display of
unreserved spectacle filled with explosive fury, hatred and evil.
It depends upon the person, but if you do this to a narrow minded,
megalomaniac, I can assure you nothing will provoke that person's true psyche or
expose their insecurity with greater ease than simply adhering to your own
standards of truth and self-determination. By standing up for your convictions,
that means you decline to sanction the activity and thought bias of someone's
pompous self-righteous attitude. This will quickly drive that individual to the
brink of madness, causing their synapses to fire involuntarily into pandemonium.
Then stand back because they will explode - BOOM! - and you might get hit by
flying blubber.
That person's next reaction, of course, is to lash out at you because you
dare to have the mettle to think independently and refuse to walk in lockstep
with that person's opinion. Even if you don't give a whit about what it is that
he or she thinks, they will nevertheless hate you when you think for yourself.
You can count on it. It has happened throughout history and this is what
happened to me recently.
Before we get into what happened to me, let us get a better understanding of
these people with evil seething just below the surface. You meet them
everywhere. We have the self-styled staunch religious fanatics, nut-job
environmentalists and naturally those bent upon regurgitating their politics all
over you. These are just a few examples. I'm not talking about those of faith or
want to breathe clean air. In fact it is admirable to stay informed on political
issues. What I'm talking about is the fringe - those who want to control you and
everybody else to fit their agenda.
Let us start with "The Religious." They believe their purpose in
life is to deliver us from evil. Of course whatever that evil is depends
entirely upon the particular God-freak you're dealing with. This sort of person
has no concept of objective reality and believes the universe is the creation of
unknown deities or demons. That mindset leads to a life of constant intolerance
and superstition. They march on into the world clinging to Bibles, Koran's, and
Torah's or to the works of L. Ron Hubbard. Whatever their choice in belief, they
still need to check in with the mystic and his dogma for their marching orders.
The politico and environmentalist are pretty much the same as they share a
feeling that the entire free world, as they see it, and society as a whole
cannot exist without the heavy-handed rule of other men where the individual
accounts for nothing and only exists to serve the state. These frightful
creatures have no hope of ever rising above a barbaric society ruled by the
tyrants they obey without question. One group is driven by the desire to stay in
power, while the other is determined to see anyone of wealth or self empowerment
be brought down to their own level and conform to their ideals of Utopia.
There is a common thread that runs through these individuals, mainly is that
they have no desire to think for themselves. They are easily manipulated by
manifestos, words from a pulpit or junk science. They are always looking for
someone to "lead" them and pose a danger to the rest of us who wish to
be left alone and exercise our right to build our dreams and keep the fruits of
our labor. Those who choose to be led by someone pose the most risk to a free
society because their vision is maintained only by the use of force and the
blessings of their "leaders" by pitting one gang of zealots against
another. Worse yet is that inevitably they always need a scapegoat, and that is usually an
innocent or non-vocal minority to be sacrificed to God, or to the Earth Mother
or for the "Greater Good" of the Great Society.
Okay - back to where my recent trouble began. This individual, whom I've
known for years and considered a friend, tried to convince me that I would be
getting a great deal by accepting a piece of used merchandise in exchange for
some help on a project. After looking at the product it became instantly clear
that this would be of little or no benefit to me and I politely said,
"No, this will not work for me."
Before you could say "Free Will" this person - SNAPPED - In public
view and before my friends! The angry person began dropping F-bombs and
insulting me personally! Saying things like "I'm never satisfied" and
"Nobody can make me happy." Oh really? All because *I* did not accept
this persons view of reality? Well, the true id came roaring out, and it was a
very disturbing to say the least!
As regular visitors to this site can attest, I create a lot of graphics and
this merchandise would have been a disaster for my work. What's more, it likely
would not serve me very long as it was all ready showing signs of
deterioration.
I remind you: We are all sovereign individuals with intrinsic rights and
free will. As long as our pursuits do not come into conflict with others,
we are free to make our own choices. But we must make informed choices, and that
is only possible with the truth. Truth will keep us free because when the
truth is known, we stop supporting those who try to enslave us.
The shackles placed upon us are the products of everyone from dominating
spouses, angry policemen, enterprising criminals and governments small and
large. It is only we who make it possible by nothing more than the
sanction we give it. Our forefathers were keenly aware of this
shortcoming in some men and rejected those who would trade freedom for the sake
of security. They said "No!" to a tyrannical government that was
running their lives and stripping them of their free will. Based on principle,
knowing that they possessed the truth and having the fortitude to fight for it,
they rose up and rebelled. They paid a heavy price for their ideals, but they
still had their dignity and accomplished the most amazing thing. They gave the
world a legacy to the human spirit and of free will, this is known as the United
States of America.
Today we live among those, like that angry person I mentioned, who have
forgotten that legacy and have sold out to the "Greater Good"
mentality. The people who leave their life's choices to others are known as
"statists" and possess a mind similar to the worst examples of human
behavior man can exhibit. All through history we've had to stand up to the King
George's, the Hitler's and the Stalin's. Today we face murderous tribes in
Africa and the Middle East. It is a fight that may never end as long as men keep
seeking "leaders" and refuse to think for themselves.
These tyrants could never succeed without the consent of the masses believing
the lies they are being fed. Propaganda is merely a package of lies with a
pretty pink ribbon on it. It's still a lie all the same but rolled up in the
cloak of patriotism, or freedom fighting, or Jihad. In reality it is merely
political and religious tyrants that mask their lies in mysticism and false
choices.
As for me, I did not consent to what I considered to be a decision being made
for me. The statist that tried to bring me into obedience failed, and in doing
so became enraged. I unmasked this one and all the ugliness became exposed in
public and before his God. I think you realize that I strongly dislike being
led. I hope you will do the same thing next time someone tells you that you
"ought" to do this for the common good or not do that because it's
"bad" for you. Tell them you know the truth and they are not your
standard bearer. Then watch the fireworks begin - BOOM!
